Redeemer is a teaching/preaching church, first and foremost committed to the Bible, and a firm belief in its authority over our lives. All of our ministries are intended to increase the knowledge and application of God’s Word in the lives of His people and lead others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ so that they can live to the glory of God.
History of Redeemer Evangelical Church
Redeemer Evangelical Church formed in September of 2003 at the request of people who wanted Jimmy and Charles to continue their ministry after retiring from Central Church. We started with a few Charter Members and in 7 years have grown to an active membership of over 500. Redeemer is committed to historic evangelical faith, but is also tuned-in to the mind of the post-modern world. We can bring the truth of God into the lives of people who are seeking balance and peace in today’s world. We seek to teach our members how not to compromise while remaining relevant in our current culture.
Music is such an integral part of worship and fellowship at Redeemer. Our congregation loves to sing, and the choir and musicians have the heart to lead in worship rather than perform. We spend a generous part of each service praising with a blend of current songs along with traditional favorites. Our membership is a close-knit family that loves to serve one another in God’s love, grow in His love, minister in our community, and provide support to those who are working for God’s Kingdom all over the world.
